How Spravato® Works

Spravato® contains esketamine, a form of ketamine that acts on the brain’s glutamate system rather than serotonin. It is approved for adults with treatment-resistant depression and is used in a structured, in-office program. Because of safety rules, it is never taken at home. Laguna Beach patients come to our office for every dose and stay with us while the effects wear off.
